Sacramento High School hosts HBCU college fair, awards scholarships to students<\/p>\n

Sacramento High School partnered with the United College Action Network to host a college fair featuring over 30 HBCUs, where some students received full or partial scholarships on the spot.<\/p>\n

Sacramento High School hosted a college fair featuring representatives from more than 30 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to help students explore college opportunities and scholarships. <\/p>\n

The event, organized in partnership with the United College Action Network, brought about 100 seniors to the school library to learn about the unique programs and scholarships offered by each HBCU. Some students even left the fair with full or partial scholarships. <\/p>\n

Sacramento High School Vice Principal Patrick Durant highlighted the importance of the event in achieving the school\u2019s mission. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat is our mission at this school, at Sacramento Charter High School, is to get our kids to and through college,\u201d Durant said. \u201cSo, we brought college to them, right? So what they’re doing right now is just fantastic.\u201d <\/p>\n

Organizers said they have partnered with the United College Action Network for several years. Students from Sacramento High School\u2019s class of 2026 have been accepted into 28 HBCUs.<\/p>\n
