(FOX40.COM) \u2014 An overturned truck leaked diesel fuel \u2014 and blocked traffic \u2014 on a U.S. Highway 50 off-ramp in Sacramento on Wednesday, and hazmat crews are still cleaning up the mess.<\/p>\n
An off-ramp on westbound U.S. 50 was closed before noon Wednesday after a semi-truck overturned, according to the California Department of Transportation. The driver was injured in the crash and was transported from the scene.<\/p>\n
The truck is leaking fuel on the freeway, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Fire Department told FOX40. Because of the leak, the situation is a \u201cworking hazmat incident.\u201d<\/p>\n
After offloading the fuel to another tanker truck, the diesel truck was put back on its wheels Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
However, Caltrans was still on the scene for hazmat cleanup as of 3 p.m., officials said. The off-ramp to 10th Street is still closed, as is the No. 6 lane.<\/p>\n
The California Highway Patrol confirmed the truck was leaking diesel fuel and said drivers should expect \u201cheavy delays\u201d in the area.<\/p>\n
