American River Parkway Foundation to launch American River cleanup<\/p>\n

Saturday, the American River Parkway Foundation is holding an annual volunteer cleanup event to pick up trash and beautify the American River.<\/p>\n

Saturday, the American River Parkway Foundation (ARPF) is holding an annual volunteer cleanup event to pick up trash and beautify the American River. <\/p>\n

The Great American River Clean-Up is the foundation’s largest annual volunteer event. Every year, volunteers descend on 13 sites along the 23-mile parkway to pick up trash, lay mulch, and complete beautification projects. <\/p>\n

“We run solely on volunteers,” said Jules Baez, ARPF community engagement volunteer manager. “Everything we do really is to impact the parkway, make sure it’s a beautiful place to come visit, and our lovely volunteers help us to do that.” <\/p>\n

The cleanup is taking place Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at sites along the American River Parkway. Everyone is welcome to walk up and participate, but registration is available at arpf.org<\/a>. <\/p>\n
