Authorities said they seized more than 2,500 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 500 gallons of methamphetamine in solution, 21 guns, and more than $20,000 in cash. <\/p>\n
Investigators said the more than 500 gallons of liquid methamphetamine in solution could have been processed to produce more than 2,000 additional pounds of \u201cfinished\u201d crystal methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis investigation struck at the heart of high-volume methamphetamine conversion operations that were pumping poison into communities across the Central Valley,\u201d said Eric Grant, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of California. \u201cThrough the relentless effort of our federal, state, and local partners, we have taken nine alleged conspirators off the streets and secured indictments against three more. Operations like this underscore our unwavering commitment to dismantling the criminal networks that manufacture and traffic these dangerous drugs, and we are far from finished.\u201d<\/p>\n
The operation followed years of work by the Department of Justice\u2019s High Impact Investigation Team, which worked alongside the Central Valley California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas, the FBI, the Kings County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the Fresno County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the Drug Enforcement Administration, California Cannabis Control and the Madera County Sheriff\u2019s Office.
