(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Bakersfield Fire Department is asking for the public\u2019s help in identifying a man  surveillance video allegedly starting a fire.<\/p>\n<p>The fire department said it happened on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the 100 block of Jones Street.<\/p>\n<p>BFD said at around 3:20 a.m., surveillance video caught an unknown male intentionally igniting an exterior fire that resulted in a structure fire.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as a man, with a lean-to-medium build, and dark hair.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"PHOTO: BFD\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"365\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/5ed75d38-13fc-4b47-b527-c723b48293fa-UntitledAugust202025at10.44.4120260917T171349.173.png\" width=\"648\"\/><\/p>\n<p>At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a light-colored short-sleeved shirt, with light-colored shorts and dark shoes.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was last seen on a bicycle.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"PHOTO: BFD\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"365\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2c6b34ff-32aa-429a-8577-52cf485b0197-UntitledAugust202025at10.44.4120260917T171401.958.png\" width=\"648\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information regarding this incident is asked to call the Bakersfield Fire Department Arson Investigators at (661) 326-3691.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
