{"id":467487,"date":"2026-09-18T03:18:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T03:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/467487\/"},"modified":"2026-09-18T03:18:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T03:18:12","slug":"parents-found-dead-in-lake-murray-home-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/467487\/","title":{"rendered":"Parents found dead in Lake Murray home identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Diego police on Thursday released the names of a married couple found dead in their Lake Murray home earlier this week but declined to release the name of their 13-year-old daughter, who was also found dead.<\/p>\n<p>The husband and wife were identified as David Voight, 56, and Amy Voight, 54. Police said the name of their 13-year-old daughter would not be released because she was a juvenile.\u00a0She was an eighth-grade student at nearby Pershing Middle School, according to school officials.<\/p>\n<p>The Medical Examiner\u2019s Office will perform autopsies on the three to determine their causes and manners of death. Police said preliminary evidence indicates all three died from gunshot wounds, and a gun was found in the home. Police have not indicated who they suspect the shooter was, but have said it was an isolated incident and there is no known danger to the public.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/2026\/09\/16\/two-adults-and-a-child-found-dead-inside-lake-murray-home\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">neighbor called police<\/a> just before 8:20 a.m. Wednesday and reported she had gone into the home, at Boulder Lake and Renkrib avenues, and found the couple.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were on scene within minutes and determined the Voight couple was dead. They also found the girl deceased.<\/p>\n<p>The neighbor told police that she had \u201cheard loud bangs\u201d Tuesday night and went to go check on her friend the next morning, police said.
