Alton Ave. at around 2 a.m. Aug. 30, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\">\n  <a class=\"article-subscribe-link\" href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/california\/orange-county\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One suspect retrieved an electric cutting tool from the bag,&#8221; the Santa Ana Police Department said Wednesday. &#8220;Both suspects began cutting the $50,000 bronze statue of Jesus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The suspects then apparently dragged the statue across church property and toward Segerstrom High School, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects are asked to contact Detective R.
