The good news this week on \u201cThe Real Housewives of Orange County\u201d<\/a> is that one of our housewives got an engagement ring with a big ol\u2019 rock to wear on her finger.<\/p>\n

The bad news? It wasn\u2019t Vicki Gunvalson<\/a>, whose love tank may never be full until her boyfriend Michael opens the safe, takes out the ring he\u2019s said to have already bought her, and slips it onto Vicki\u2019s ring finger.<\/p>\n

We start this week where we left off the week before<\/a>. Vicki had just told the production crew to \u201cget the [bleep] out of my house,\u201d though apparently they\u2019re not good at following orders because somebody stuck around to film what happened next.<\/p>\n

The three housewives who\u2019d gone with Vicki for an overnight to her vacation home in La Quinta are rattled.<\/p>\n

Shannon Storms Beador<\/a>, who has known Vicki the longest, decides to stay after Vicki tells the group that she wanted the crew to 23 skidoo, not her castmates.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Michael] saw me upset,\u201d Vicki says of the reason Michael seemed upset when he got back to the house and discovered Vicki hunkered down in her bedroom while the others whispered about what they should do. \u201cYou\u2019re not going anywhere. Let\u2019s go eat.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Emily Simpson and Jenn Pedranti, who\u2019d already started packing to make an early exit when Vicki first got upset over questions about her relationship with Michael, decide to stick with their plan to get an Uber from the desert back to Orange County.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Uber costs $450, and it\u2019s probably going to take two hours to get home, but I don\u2019t care,\u201d Emily says in a confessional.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can hitchhike,\u201d Jenn tells the camera in hers. \u201cThumbs up, let\u2019s go! I\u2019m getting home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Around the same time, the other four housewives are having a much better time in Los Olivos, where Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow<\/a>, Gina Kirschenheiter and Carmella Garcia<\/a>, are staying after spending the day in Solvang.<\/p>\n

But Vicki is also the main topic of conversation as they sit around a fire pit, wearing their jammies as they sip red wine and dish about why, if Michael likes it, he hasn\u2019t put a ring on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs the ring at the safe in the bank? Or at the house?\u201d Heather wonders about the engagement ring Vicki told them Michael has bought for her but not yet delivered.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna bank on there is no ring,\u201d Carmella says. \u201cThe story doesn\u2019t make sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a hot take, Carmella,\u201d Gina replies with a hint of admiration in her voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cCarmella got a little drinky-poo in her, and she\u2019s pop-pop-pop-pop-popping off,\u201d Gina tells the camera, firing off imaginary bullets from her index finger for emphasis.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou buy a ring for somebody because you\u2019re asking them to marry you,\u201d Carmella says. \u201cUnless you break up, you\u2019re asking them to marry you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tamra, who\u2019s been quiet until now, chimes in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would tell you one thing,\u201d she says. \u201cIf somebody told me they had bought me a ring, and had put it in a safe and didn\u2019t propose to me, I would [bleepin\u2019] lose my [bleep].\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in Orange County a day or two later, Gina goes for a walk at the beach with her fianc\u00e9 Travis. They\u2019re talking about how big to go on their wedding, the second for both, or whether to spend modestly for a housewife on the wedding and save some moolah for a bigger home for the Brady Bunch-style blended family they\u2019ll have when the three kids they have individually become six together.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe size of the home that we would need to live comfortably would be about $3 million,\u201d Gina says. \u201cAnd it\u2019s kind of one of those things that we could do, but we would feel it.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few minutes later, Travis announces he has \u201csomething exciting,\u201d which brings their walk-and-talk by the beach to a sudden stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not proposing again, but guess what I got?\u201d he says. \u201cI got the actual ring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my God, baby, it\u2019s so pretty!\u201d Gina says. \u201cBling-bling!\u201d<\/p>\n

Carmella and her boyfriend Danny haven\u2019t exchanged any rings yet; Carmella, who is not over Danny\u2019s past infidelity, isn\u2019t sure there are any rings in their future.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre my boobs straight?\u201d she asks him as they sit at their table at Hacienda on the Lake in Mission Viejo.<\/p>\n

Danny assures her they are shipshape and says that he can\u2019t recall how long it\u2019s been since they went on a date.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s because I don\u2019t like you,\u201d Carmella says, displaying the dry humor that\u2019s becoming a trademark of her debut season on the show.<\/p>\n

He tells her he\u2019d love to marry her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy do we need to get married?\u201d Carmella asks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like being married,\u201d Danny replies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you\u2019ve been married a couple of times, so I think you\u2019ve been cut off,\u201d she says, and laughs before getting back to the business at hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou cheated on me,\u201d the former Playboy Playmate of the Year says. \u201cIt is imperative that you are completely transparent. You can\u2019t lie about the color of underwear that you have on.\u201d<\/p>\n

She asks him what he hopes the next six months will bring. \u201cLots of sex,\u201d he replies with a grin that fades in the face of the withering look he receives.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll go to couples therapy because I love you,\u201d Carmella says. \u201cAnd because I know I hold so much resentment and anger that I\u2019m sure it\u2019s tough to talk to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to see if we can get there, and if we can\u2019t, we have to stop this.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a visit to Los Angeles, where Heather and her husband Terry Dubrow have just purchased a second penthouse for $11 million that\u2019s just below a penthouse they already own \u2013 bling-bling ka-ching! \u2013 the episode closes with one of the calmest, most sincere conversations between Vicki and Tamra in years.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they were picking at me in the kitchen, I thought I was going to have a heart attack,\u201d Vicki says of the night in La Quinta when Emily, Jenn and Shannon peppered her with questions about her work and personal lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cI live a calm life, I do,\u201d she continues. \u201cBut when I\u2019m defensive or feel insecure, or feel less than \u2013<\/p>\n

\u201d \u2013 you feel less than?\u201d Tamra interjects.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I do,\u201d Vicki answers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy? You\u2019re Vicki [Bleepin\u2019] Gunvalson, what can you feel less than about?\u201d Tamra says.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had three different relationships that obviously didn\u2019t work,\u201d Vicki replies. \u201cOn paper, everything looks perfect. In my heart, in my bones, it\u2019s not.<\/p>\n

\u201cMichael is so good to me,\u201d she continues. \u201cHe\u2019s the only one I\u2019d share my fears, my sadness. And he\u2019s like everything will be fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut my fear is that maybe this is too much for him. He\u2019ll X-out like everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the most vulnerable she\u2019s seemed in years, and you have to hope that when Tamra tells the camera that \u201c[Michael\u2019s] not going anywhere,\u201d she\u2019s right.<\/p>\n
