PHOTO: KBAK\/KBFX<\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on Saturday, April 20, 2026, just before 9 p.m., officers were called to the area of Q and James streets on the report of a pedestrian suffering severe injuries after being hit by a train.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian, later identified as Almond Jr., dead at the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
