FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE\/KGPE<\/a>) \u2013\u00a0This Saturday and Sunday, the area known for dog walks and picnics is getting transformed into the largest party in Fresno.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe name says it all. Party in the Park, Boots in the Park,\u201d Lewis Everk with Everk Hospitality Group said<\/p>\n

For the 10th year in a row, the Boots in the Park festival is back. This year, the star-studded lineup goes for both Saturday and Sunday, with Party in the Park featuring rap artists like Fetty Wap and Wiz Khalifa. Zach Top is headlining Saturday\u2019s country festival.<\/p>\n

CEO of Activated Events Steve Thacher said they work hard to get top talent to perform. They have just a few tickets left for this weekend\u2019s festivities.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The concert series started in Fresno ten years ago and has since expanded to multiple series across the West Coast. The event is complete with local food vendors, art installations, and other brand activations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most fun we have with the job is curating these lineups and seeing the fans\u2019 reaction,\u201d Thacher said. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Everk said they want to remind drivers to expect traffic delays, congestion, and pedestrians on both Saturday and Sunday around Friant Road and Woodward Park. The City of Fresno put up signs put up on Audubon Drive and Friant Road warning drivers to be aware and anticipate delays. Everk said he is preparing his restaurant and bar staff for the extra traffic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe staff extra. We host some of the pre-parties. We obviously host the after parties. So both Woodward, my restaurant, Woodward American Grill, as well as Azara host, both pre-parties and after parties,\u201d Everk said.<\/p>\n

And while a big lift to put on the show, Thacher said he\u2019s happy Fresno keeps welcoming them back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pretty humbling. But it\u2019s also very exciting, you know, to be able to do this for 10 years. We hope we\u2019re doing it for at least ten more if the city of Fresno gives us that opportunity.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
