PALO ALTO, Calif.- Samu Biros<\/a> and Palmer Macbeth<\/a> each scored two goals on the day to lead the No. 11 San Jos\u00e9 State men’s water polo team (5-5, 0-0 WCC) in losses against No. 2 USC (9-0, 0-0 MPSF) 16-7, and No. 6 Long Beach State University (8-2, 0-0 Big West) 17-11 on Day Two of the MPSF Invite from the Avery Aquatics Center on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Spartans took initiative, scoring the first two goals on strikes from Louis Fehrensen<\/a> and Mitchell Keightley<\/a>, but the Trojans answered and pulled away for a 16-7 win.\u00a0
\nMacbeth paced the Spartans’ offense with the two goals, both coming in the fourth quarter. M. Keightley, Aidan Johnson<\/a>, Vince Biros<\/a> and Jack Elder<\/a> each added one apiece.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

vs. No. 6 LBSU<\/p>\n

The Spartans kept up with the Sharks’ offense, scoring four goals in the first quarter from Giancarlo Marquez<\/a>, M. Keightley, Mateja Cetkovic<\/a> and Sam Keightley<\/a>.\u00a0
\nLong Beach State pulled ahead in each quarter, leading to a 17-11 score.\u00a0
\nBiros led the team with two goals, as Marquez, M. Keightley, Cetkovic, S. Keightley, Sy Lazzaroni<\/a>, Austin Hexter<\/a>, and Aron S\u00e1rfalvi<\/a> scored one each.\u00a0<\/p>\n
