A boater on a fishing vessel died after it ran aground near the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge on Thursday, while two other boaters were injured.<\/p>\n
The boater who died was Daniel Zhengyu Qin, a 35, of San Jose, the Marin County coroner\u2019s office said. The cause of death remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
At about 6 a.m., Coast Guard personnel along with Marin County, Southern Marin and Tiburon firefighters responded to a call about the 22-foot vessel, which was stuck at Lime Point. The boat was disabled and taking in water, according to the Southern Marin Fire Protection District.<\/p>\n
A Coast Guard crew rescued the boaters. One boater was in cardiac arrest, the fire district said. All of the occupants were treated and sent to a hospital.<\/p>\n
Southern Marin fire Battalion Chief Jason Golden said the person who suffered cardiac arrest was revived on the way to the hospital, but he later died because of significant trauma.<\/p>\n
The Coast Guard is investigating the crash.<\/p>\n
