OAKLANDA San Francisco man was fatally shot in the Grand Lake District Sunday morning, authorities said. The name of the 37-year-old man has not been released pending notification of family.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened about 1:56 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot in the 3200 block of Grand Ave.<\/p>\n
The man was found with at least one gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital where he later was pronounced dead. Police are trying to confirm why the man was in Oakland and what led to his shooting.[cq comment=\u201dInvestigators have not ruled out the possibility he may have been involved in a dispute before he was shot.\u201d<\/p>\n
The killing is the 39th homicide investigated by Oakland Police this year. Last year at this time, Police had investigated 50 homicides in the city.<\/p>\n
