“California Tonight” airs Monday through Friday at 7:30 p.m. <\/p>\n
California is a place of extraordinary diversity, that has remarkable landscapes, varied communities, and exceptional food. But it is also a state with real challenges, issues that deserve attention, sometimes investigation, and always thoughtful conversation. <\/p>\n
These stories show up here in our hometown and also across the state. Unfolding in a major city, a rural community, or on our borders. <\/p>\n
“California Tonight” will take you to wherever the story is in our state, because the show is about more than delivering information. It is about connecting viewers to the core of our state, connecting communities to one another, and helping people see how events across the state impact their own lives. <\/p>\n
This is journalism with a regional focus and a statewide purpose. Informing people, bringing them together, and highlighting both what makes California extraordinary and what still needs to change. <\/p>\n
We live in the most populous state in our country and when we harness the power of understanding and connection to our great state more people engage and California is better for it. <\/p>\n
