The death of Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, is a very tragic one. Presley was very committed to trying to help other people by opening up about his own life.<\/p>\n

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” Allie Jenkins, a spokesperson for Crawford and Rande Gerber told The Associated Press <\/a>on September 20, as news broke about Presley’s death. The family did not reveal any other details. In addition to Presley, Crawford and Rande Gerber are parents to a daughter, Kaia Gerber, who also followed in her mom’s modeling footsteps (and looks remarkably like her).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What did Presley Gerber say about his mental health struggles?<\/p>\n Presley Gerber Told Podcasters That He Wanted to Help Even a Single Person by Speaking Out <\/p>\n Presley made the comments on a podcast, in which he revealed that he had struggled with mental health and depression and wanted to help others. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said on the <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Presley said on the podcast that mental health “is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24\/7 job, and there’s so much to it. That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He added, “I’ve seen a lot of stuff and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”<\/p>\n Presley Gerber Started an Instagram Series About Mental Health<\/p>\n Gerber also started posting videos on Instagram<\/a> called Mental Health Mondays.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “As life goes on, life makes you go through new experiences,” he said in one of those videos. “And therefore hopefully you learn from those things. So here I am.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He added, “I’m back to share some of those things that can maybe relate to everybody. Today’s theme or topic, we are going to touch on finding common ground.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In recovery, he said people discuss how to find common ground with someone.
