Orange County\u2019s 20 largest insurance brokers generated a 10% revenue increase to $1.73 billion in 2025, up from $1.56 billion the previous year.<\/p>\n
There were no revenue decreases or estimated decreases for the companies on the list.<\/p>\n
The largest hike came from the Irvine office of Brown & Brown Insurance Services, which boosted its local revenue by 157% to $23 million \u2014 driven in part by the 2025 acquisition of Accession Risk Management Group, which added an Orange County office with $14 million in revenue.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe insurance brokerage landscape in Orange County is dynamic and highly competitive, with clients demanding innovative risk management strategies, greater transparency, and a true partner in navigating today\u2019s evolving market,\u201d Executive Vice President Allison Olsen told the Business Journal.<\/p>\n
She added that the company focuses on \u201cstrong relationships, tailored solutions, and a deep understanding of the diverse industries that power Southern California\u2019s economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brown & Brown\u2019s revenue boost raised its ranking this year from No. 20 to No. 15.
Alliant Insurance Services Inc. easily held on to its No. 1 slot, with OC revenue increasing 20% to $550.3 million.<\/p>\n
Trucordia was No. 2 as its estimated 2025 OC revenue remained steady at $270 million. Lindon, Utah-based Trucordia (PCF Insurance) acquired the insurance business of Irvine-based DLD Insurance Brokers in 2024.<\/p>\n
Marsh Risk & Insurances Services of New York, which is rebranding as Marsh Agency, increased 2025 OC revenue to $145.2 million to take the third spot.<\/p>\n
\u2018Deepens Local Roots\u2019<\/p>\n
Local revenue for HUB International Insurance Services Inc., with local offices in Newport Beach and La Palma, remained steady at $50 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cHUB has continued to deepen its local roots through strategic acquisitions \u2014 adding Physicians Risk Associates in Mission Viejo in 2022, strengthening the region\u2019s healthcare specialty capabilities, and most recently acquiring Combined HCM in Diamond Bar in 2024,\u201d the company told the Business Journal.<\/p>\n
SullivanCurtisMonroe\u2019s Revenue Rises<\/p>\n
Irvine-based SullivanCurtisMonroe Insurance Services came in at No. 14 among the surveyed brokers as its 2025 OC revenue jumped 19% to $23.2 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn our benefits division, we have invested in our service platform to help create significant cost savings in the medical spend of our cost challenged benefits clients,\u201d CEO John Monroe told the Business Journal on Sept. 16.<\/p>\n
To better serve clients, the firm has invested in advanced analytics.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have partnered with technology firms as well as created our own AI tools to increase operational efficiencies,\u201d he said, adding that the innovations free up the team to focus on personalized client consulting across both the benefits and property-casualty practices.<\/p>\n
The agent headcount for \u201cOC licensed property & casualty producers\u201d totaled 1,100 as of August, up 2% from the same month last year for all 20 agencies surveyed.<\/p>\n
