{"id":471289,"date":"2026-09-21T22:50:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T22:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/471289\/"},"modified":"2026-09-21T22:50:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T22:50:08","slug":"police-look-for-shooter-who-wounded-man-at-downtown-chipotle-long-beach-post-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/471289\/","title":{"rendered":"Police look for shooter who wounded man at downtown Chipotle \u2022 Long Beach Post News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police say a 38-year-old man was wounded in a shooting during an argument at a Chipotle in downtown Long Beach on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shooting happened at about 1:45 p.m. inside the restaurant on Pine Avenue just south of Third Street, according to Long Beach police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two men got into an argument inside, then one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other one in the upper body, LBPD spokesperson Jordan McGinley wrote in an email.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The victim, a 38-year-old man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of the injury, which was not believed to be life-threatening, McGinley wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspected shooter fled before officers arrived.
