LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Three staff members were wounded, one of them critically, in a shooting Monday in the lobby of an assisted living facility in South Los Angeles, and a suspect who also worked at the building was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
The shooting was reported at 10:50 a.m. in the 7000 block of Denver Avenue, near 70th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police and Fire departments.<\/p>\n
The facility is called Progressive Home Elderly, according to reports from the scene.<\/p>\n
The victims were taken to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. One was in critical condition and the other two were stable, according to the LAPD. Police described the victims only as a man in his 60s and two women, one in her 40s and the other in her 70s.<\/p>\n
Police also did not immediately release details about the suspect or a possible motive, but witnesses told reporters the shooter was a custodian at the facility.
