A California tech exec<\/a> who went viral for posting an exhaustive list of demands for her future husband says she\u2019s already found at least five potential Mr. Rights \u2014 but her startup<\/a>\u2019s luck around town isn\u2019t smelling quite as sweet.<\/p>\n

Brooke LeBlanc, an executive at insurance tech startup Corgi, is celebrating the apparent success of her viral husband hunt<\/a> just as the company\u2019s splashy San Francisco caf\u00e9s are being roasted by customers.<\/p>\n

James Qin, who posted about one Corgi location on Google Maps, said he headed to the company\u2019s Dogpatch outpost because its Financial District location was \u201csmelly,\u201d poorly maintained and had \u201coverpriced coffee and bad smelling bathrooms,\u201d according to the San Francisco Standard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

LeBlanc is an executive at Corgi, which has cafes in San Francisco that are being roasted by customers. X\/@UseCorgi<\/p>\n

\u201cThought the new location might be better,\u201d Qin wrote. \u201cNow I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll ever know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other Google reviewers have also reportedly been less than impressed. One claimed \u201cevery door handle just fell off,\u201d while another complained that the front door wouldn\u2019t stay closed unless it was locked.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for LeBlanc, her dating prospects appear to be getting better reviews.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho wants to cofound the rest of my life with me?\u201d she wrote on X<\/a> while launching her very Silicon Valley search for a soulmate, complete with an extensive list of romantic \u201cnon-negotiables.\u201d<\/p>\n

And apparently, applications came pouring in.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Mr. Right is one in 1 million Seems I\u2019ve found at least 5 of him now!\u201d LeBlanc posted Sunday, adding that the viral escapade also earned her a \u201cfive figure creator check.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tech executive said she\u2019s looking for a man between 35 and 42 who is \u201chealthy masculine,\u201d smart, funny and lighthearted, with a \u201cprovider\/protector mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Love, or at least posting about it, apparently pays.<\/p>\n

But hopeful bachelors shouldn\u2019t start celebrating yet.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s another interviewer. \u201cFoot note: You will now also have to get my mom\u2019s approval as she\u2019s reading replies and sending me \u2018which ones are cute,\u2019\u201d LeBlanc wrote.<\/p>\n

Her mother has already apparently started vetting the talent, texting her daughter about one contender she deemed \u201csmart, funny and cute.\u201d<\/p>\n

LeBlanc said the potential candidate would also have to get her mom\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n

However, getting that far requires clearing quite the checklist: LeBlanc is seeking a man between 35 and 42 who is \u201chealthy masculine,\u201d smart, funny and lighthearted, with a \u201cprovider\/protector mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n

He should also be \u201cpost economic (still hardworking),\u201d kind, generous and thoughtful. He can\u2019t already have children but must \u201cdecidedly\u201d want them and he should be \u201con the healing path,\u201d with a commitment to self-improvement that could include therapy, books or retreats.<\/p>\n

Her dream guy also needs to be fit and sober.<\/p>\n

While candidates can technically come from anywhere, LeBlanc says she \u201cwill not date unless live in the same city.\u201d<\/p>\n

Never having been married or engaged is strongly preferred, as is working in tech and having a career that blends into his personal life.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Corgi appears to have similarly lofty ambitions.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2024, the startup sells insurance products to venture-backed AI companies<\/a> and has raised nearly $400 million at a $2.6 billion valuation.<\/p>\n

Sources told the Standard that Corgi has discussed opening more than 100 caf\u00e9s around San Francisco, with the colorful, dog-themed locations serving largely as marketing for the company.<\/p>\n

Corgi also recently bought a Dogpatch commercial property owned by an affiliate of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry for $11 million. Curry\u2019s company paid $8.5 million for the building in 2024, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

So while Corgi works on conquering San Francisco (and perhaps its aroma and door-handle issues), LeBlanc\u2019s search for a cofounder of a more personal variety appears to be moving right along.<\/p>\n

She may have found five Mr. Rights. Now they just have to pass due diligence and Mom.<\/p>\n
