A man was arrested in connection with two homicides in San Jose after he allegedly flagged down a police officer and said he had committed a homicide, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
The investigation began around 5:14 p.m. Saturday when a San Jose police patrol officer was flagged down by a man who alleged he had committed a homicide.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the area of Lelong and Alma avenues, where they found a man dead, police said.<\/p>\n
The suspect, identified by police as Marcelino Castro, 28, of San Jose, was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
During the investigation, Castro provided detectives with information about a second homicide in the area of Autumn Parkway and Coleman Avenue, according to police.<\/p>\n
Detectives responded to that location and found a second person dead.<\/p>\n
Castro was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on two counts of murder.<\/p>\n
Police said the motive and circumstances surrounding the deaths remain under investigation.<\/p>\n
The deaths are being investigated as San Jose’s 20th and 21st homicides of 2026.<\/p>\n
