LA JOLLA, Calif. \u2013\u00a0UC San Diego head coach\u00a0Sebastian Bader<\/a><\/a>\u00a0has announced the Tritons’ 2026 fall and 2027 spring women’s tennis schedule. The challenging spring slate features 22 matches \u2013 eleven of which will take place at\u00a0Northview Tennis Courts<\/a>\u00a0on the UC San Diego campus. The seventh season of Division I spring competition begins for UC San Diego on Jan. 15 for their annual spring kickoff in Arizona. The trip begins with Arizona Friday, followed by Arizona State on Saturday, Jan. 16. The Tritons’ third match of the weekend is slated against Grand Canyon on Sunday, Jan. 17 \u2013 the fifth season in a row UC San Diego has begun spring play with three weekend matches in the desert. The Tritons continue the road trip in Los Angeles, Calif. at LMU on Jan. 23 before heading back in-town to face San Diego State at Aztec Tennis Center on Sunday, Jan. 24. The Big West Championship will take place April 28-May 1 at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.

\nBefore spring competition gets underway the Tritons will play fall tennis in the UTSA Intercollegiate Championships, Big West Fall Selection, ITA Southwest Regionals, ITA West Sectional, ITA Conference Masters, and SDSU Fall Classic beginning at the end of September and continuing into early November. The Big West Fall Selection will take place on UC San Diego campus from Oct. 1-4.<\/p>\n

\nThe Tritons’ home opener will be Feb. 5 against Utah, which starts a seven-game home stand for the Tritons. The Tritons welcome Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday Feb. 6, and former Big West opponents Hawai’i (Feb. 10) and UC Davis (Feb. 13). \u00a0The Tritons then open this year’s conference play hosting Long Beach State Feb. 20 before facing non-conference Santa Clara Friday, Feb. 26 and Saint Mary’s Saturday, Feb. 27 to close out the month.

\nBig West play picks back up against UC Riverside on March 6. The Tritons then head out on the road to face Cal State Fullerton on Mar. 7. UC San Diego welcomes Dartmouth to Northview Tennis Courts after a two-week break on Sunday, March 21. The Tritons will then travel to Colorado for a pair of matches against Denver (March 23) and Colorado State (March 24).

\nIn April, three of the Tritons’ five matches will be against Big West competition: vs. Sacramento State (April 4), at UC Santa Barbara (April 9), at Cal Poly (April 11), vs. CSUN for Senior Day (April 18), and at UC Irvine (April 24).<\/p>\n

\nHead coach Sebastian Bader<\/a> states, “we are very excited about the schedule we’ve mapped out for this squad. We start on the road in January playing five opponents that were ranked last season, including Arizona, ASU, and SDSU. We have a strong home stretch in February to get us prepared for what is going to be a tight conference schedule.”

\n“It’s a challenging schedule with top-tier competition and a mix of WCC and Big West teams,” Bader continues. “We are going to Colorado for the first time and are using that trip to prepare us for the five Big West matches in April that lead into the conference championship.”

\nAdmission to UC San Diego’s regular season home matches is free, though parking permits are required seven days per week on the UC San Diego campus. All the Tritons’ home matches will feature live results on UCSDTritons.com.
