It’s that time of year again: 7×7\u2019s Big Eat 2026 is served.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve drawn this year\u2019s 100 must-try dishes in San Francisco from a wide range of classic joints, trending restaurants, comforting neighborhood spots, and hole-in-the-wall favorites from Bayview-Hunters Point to North Beach, and Potrero Hill to the Outer Richmond.<\/p>\n

A handful of these dishes have long graced the Big Eat (think Mandalay Bay\u2019s tea leaf salad, Zuni\u2019s chicken, or King Henry VIII cut at House of Prime Rib<\/a>). Others, like Rich Table\u2019s dried porcini donuts, sisig fried rice at Abac\u00e1, and chicken wings at Good Good Culture Club, are more recent must-eats. We\u2019ve even got a few dishes from newcomers like Arquet and Wolfsbane that are quickly making a name for themselves.<\/p>\n

The list is, in other words, pretty diverse\u2014but it is also far from comprehensive. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of restaurants, bakeries, and delis that are no less deserving of a spot than those we chose. With just 100 slots to fill, we had to narrow things down somehow. (If there\u2019s something we missed that is just plain egregious, let us know.)<\/p>\n

And remember, restaurant menus rotate regularly. While we tried to focus on staple dishes, they may not always be available. DIshes marked with a (V) are vegetarian.<\/p>\n
