(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified an elderly woman who was found dead due to hyperthermia inside an Oildale home as 74-year-old Karen Elizabeth Demarais.<\/p>\n<p>The report said on August 12, 2026, Demarais was found dead in the 400 block of Windy Gap Court in Oildale.<\/p>\n<p>The report said an autopsy was conducted and the cause of death was determined to be hyperthermia due to environmental exposure.
