A former operations manager at a San Jose high school pleaded guilty in federal court earlier this week to two counts of online child enticement and two counts of receipt of child pornography.<\/p>\n
The charges against 46-year-old Todd Baldwin were brought by federal prosecutors after he was accused of paying underage boys — including at least one student he knew through the school where he worked, Valley Christian High School — to take pictures and film themselves engaging in sexual acts, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California’s office.<\/p>\n
Other victims attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill.<\/p>\n
Baldwin was accused of paying the 16- and 17-year-old victims thousands of dollars to make pornography for his consumption and to sell online. He also collected and tried to sell their used underwear, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
He used Snapchat, Gmail, Venmo, and CashApp to communicate with the victims and transfer money to them.<\/p>\n
Baldwin faces between a decade and life in prison.
