Terminal B detour in effect during pedestrian walkway construction at Sacramento International Airport<\/p>\n

Travelers heading to Sacramento International Airport should plan for temporary traffic changes at Terminal B as construction continues on a new pedestrian walkway.<\/p>\n

The first detour began at 1 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n

From Sept. 23 through Oct. 1, the Terminal B Arrivals area on the lower level will be closed each morning from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m.<\/p>\n

Drivers picking up passengers can still access the arrivals area, but they will need to follow the posted detour to the east side of Terminal B near Doors 3 and 4.<\/p>\n

Another temporary closure is planned for October.<\/p>\n

From Oct. 15 through Oct. 28, the Terminal B Departures area on the upper level will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.<\/p>\n

Drivers dropping off passengers during those hours will need to follow posted detour signs around the closure.<\/p>\n

Airport officials are encouraging travelers and anyone picking up or dropping off passengers to give themselves a few extra minutes to navigate the temporary changes.<\/p>\n

The closures are part of ongoing construction on Sacramento International Airport\u2019s new pedestrian walkway at Terminal B. <\/p>\n

The new walkway is expected to open sometime before the end of the year.<\/p>\n
