Sacramento ZERO Prostate Cancer Run\/Walk is this weekend<\/p>\n

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the United States and advocates say early detection can make a critical difference.<\/p>\n

ZERO Prostate Cancer is working to improve and save lives through awareness, education, support, and access to care.<\/p>\n

One of the organization’s biggest outreach efforts is the annual ZERO Prostate Cancer Run\/Walk series.<\/p>\n

Since launching in 2007, the national event series has raised more than $48 million to support prostate cancer awareness, education, and patient support while bringing together more than 200,000 participants. Organizers say it is the only national Run\/Walk series dedicated to men’s health.<\/p>\n

The Sacramento ZERO Prostate Cancer Run\/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, at North Natomas Regional Park, at 2501 New Market Drive.<\/p>\n

Participants can choose between a 2.48-mile or 1.3-mile course. The opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m., with the Run\/Walk starting immediately afterward.<\/p>\n
