Held before the UH football game against San Jose State in the Gold Room of Citizens Equity First Credit Union Stadium, the event was the latest in a series organized by the UH Foundation Office of Alumni Relations (UHFAR) to strengthen the lifelong bonds between alumni and the UH community.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/manoa-uhaa-football2-214x300.jpeg\" alt=\"UH alumni supporting UH football\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-225166\"  \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/manoa-uhaa-football3-214x300.jpeg\" alt=\"UH alumni supporting UH football\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-225167\"  \/>From left:, Joe Zesiger, Gerry Somers, Cindy Chen, Kyle Oura, Brennon Morioka, Ken Kawahara<\/p>\n<p>A special guest at the rally with more than 50 attendees was UH M\u0101noa Athletics Director Matt Elliott, who spoke about the future of the department.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s inspiring to see the passion our alumni bring, no matter how far from Hawai\u02bbi they are,\u201d said Elliott. \u201cTheir support fuels our student athletes and reminds us that we\u2019re part of something much bigger than just the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was Elliott\u2019s second UHFAR pre-game rally. Earlier in September, he made the trip to the Grand Canyon State when the football team played Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Staying connected<\/p>\n<p>The successful evening also celebrated the growing UH Alumni Association Northern California Bay Area Chapter.
