Los Angeles County<\/a> and surrounding communities have several opportunities to honor those who served in the U.S. armed forces on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

From Pasadena<\/a> to Redondo Beach<\/a>, a handful of tributes and ceremonies will be held throughout the region this Veterans Day<\/a>. Scroll to see what events are happening near you.<\/p>\n

Hermosa Beach<\/p>\n

The Hermosa Beach Veterans Day Ceremony<\/a> is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event will be on the East Lawn of the Community Center at the Hermosa Beach<\/a> Veterans Memorial. Afterward, guests are invited to the Hermosa Beach Museum for a reception and to view submissions for the city\u2019s \u201cVeterans Are Timeless\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n

The campaign recognizes veterans who have a special connection to Hermosa Beach. Submissions will also be featured on the city\u2019s social media, website, and local TV channels during November.<\/p>\n

Pasadena<\/p>\n

Pasadena\u2019s Veterans Day Celebration<\/a> will be at City Hall and go from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

The city\u2019s annual event will honor veterans and the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. There will also be a yellow ribbon ceremony honoring a regiment that recently returned from an overseas deployment.<\/p>\n

A keynote speech will be given by Associate Justice Eileen Moore, a decorated Vietnam combat nurse. At 11:11 a.m., there will be a flyover, and attendees can grab a hot dog, view interactive exhibits, and participate in various activities.<\/p>\n

Downey<\/p>\n

The City of Downey\u2019s<\/a> Veterans Day Ceremony will be at the Columbia Memorial Space Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

Hollywood<\/p>\n

A Veterans Day event will be at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood<\/a> Hills starting at 11:00 a.m. The event will feature a keynote speaker, performances, and patriotic music.<\/p>\n

Redondo Beach<\/p>\n

The Veterans Day Tribute in Redondo Beach<\/a> will be at the Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Bob Hope Patriotic Hall<\/p>\n

The Warrior Heritage Foundation and the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will host a Veterans Day celebration<\/a> from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

There will be bounce houses, food trucks, and a live DJ from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. \u201cThe Incredibles\u201d will be shown at 11 a.m., and \u201cAmerican Sniper\u201d at 2 p.m. Attendees can also win prizes, such as UCLA game tickets.<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the event will go toward the foundation\u2019s With Your Shield military transition program.<\/p>\n

San Fernando Valley Parade<\/p>\n

A Veterans Day parade will be held in the San Fernando Valley<\/a> from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The parade will begin at the corner of San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, and travel 1.1 miles south to Paxton Street.<\/p>\n

El Toro Memorial Park<\/p>\n

The 36th annual El Toro Memorial Park\u2019s Veterans Day Program<\/a> will begin at 11 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gerald Freibrun, who served with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit from 2020 to 2024, will be the keynote speaker. There will also be a combined color guard, a wreath presentation, and an honor guard firing salute.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anaheim<\/p>\n

The City of Anaheim\u2019s<\/a> Veterans Day event<\/a> will be held near the Veterans Monument in the Anaheim Packing District from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There will be guest speakers and patriotic music.<\/p>\n

San Bernardino<\/p>\n

San Bernardino County Regional Parks will honor both veterans and active duty members of the armed forces with free park admission. Parks are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

Military ID must be shown for access.<\/p>\n

Eastvale<\/p>\n

The City of Eastvale\u2019s Veterans Day Ceremony<\/a> will be at American Heroes Park starting at 8 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
