{"id":47514,"date":"2025-11-11T02:43:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T02:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/47514\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T02:43:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T02:43:10","slug":"fight-breaks-out-near-uc-berkeley-before-turning-point-usa-tour-finale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/47514\/","title":{"rendered":"Fight breaks out near UC Berkeley before Turning Point USA tour finale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">A bloody fight broke out near the University of California, Berkeley, on Monday afternoon, ahead of a Turning Point USA event on campus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">The event, which will feature Dr. Frank Turek and Rob Schneider, marks the end of the &#8220;This Is The Turning Point&#8221; tour.<\/p>\n<p>It takes place just two months after TPUSA&#8217;s founder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/media\/charlie-kirk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Charlie Kirk<\/a> was assassinated at a campus event in Utah on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n<p>The confrontation erupted at around 4:30 PST. (Elizabeth Heckman\/Fox News Digital)<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown how many participants were arrested or injured.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital reached out to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/crime\/police-and-law-enforcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Berkeley Police Department<\/a> for comment, but did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for UC Berkeley told Fox News Digital that the altercation did not take place on campus grounds, and did not elaborate further.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/turning-point-usa-draws-2000-first-tour-event-since-kirks-assassination\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">TURNING POINT USA DRAWS 2,000 AT FIRST TOUR EVENT SINCE KIRK&#8217;S ASSASSINATION<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Frank Turek, a mentor of Kirk&#8217;s, spoke with Fox News Digital last week about the upcoming Berkeley event.<\/p>\n<p>During <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/charlie-kirks-mentor-looks-forward-berkeley-turning-point-event-free-speech-battleground\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the interview,<\/a> Turek said that he told Kirk that the UC Berkeley stop was the one he wanted to attend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If I could go to any one event with him, it would be that one,&#8221; the Christian author said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/foxnews.onelink.me\/xLDS?pid=AppArticleLink&amp;af_dp=foxnewsaf%3A%2F%2F&amp;af_web_dp=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fapps-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I wanted to go to UC Berkeley because it is so progressive and liberal in their views, and I wanted to provide evidence that Christianity was indeed true.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is a breaking news story.
