A man was arrested at Disneyland after a live streamer said she was groped in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The camera was running the entire time.

Some context.

Yoatzi Castro, a content creator, was celebrating a friend’s birthday and taking photos at the castle when she says a man in a white T-shirt groped her. She was mid stream.

Disneyland security located him. Anaheim police arrested him. Same night.

What She Posted

“I am so livid and I am so upset,” Castro said in a social media post. “I’m so grateful that we were livestreaming and we were able to capture it.”

Her Instagram post included the clip plus a zoomed-in image of the man.

Watch what the clip actually shows. A man walks close to Castro while heading toward the castle with a female companion. His hand briefly leaves the frame. Castro turns, follows him, and hits him in the back.

She confronts him. He says, “What are you talking about?”

What Police Confirmed

Security found the man shortly after and called the Anaheim Police Department.

Police spokesperson Eric Anderson said it happened at 8 p.m. The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery, then cited and released that same evening. Court date still being determined.

Police said they knew of no prior incidents involving him. They did not release his name. Investigation pending.

Important: an arrest is not a conviction. No charging decision has been announced.

About “Cited and Released”

People are going to read that and assume he walked. He did not.

Cite and release is routine for misdemeanor-level arrests in California. Instead of sitting in jail until arraignment, you get a citation and an obligation to show up in court.

The arrest happened. The report goes to prosecutors. The case keeps moving.

Next up is a charging decision from the district attorney, and that has not come yet.

Now, Why This One Is Different

Here is the thing.

Cases like this almost never go anywhere. Two seconds, in a crowd, nobody watching closely. One person’s word against another’s, and nothing for security to pull up.

Castro’s footage already existed before anybody knew it would matter. Live, unedited, catching his face, his shirt, and who he was walking with.

So security was not hunting a description. They were hunting a specific person they could see.

That is almost certainly why a man was found in minutes instead of never.

And that is a genuinely uncomfortable thing to sit with. The reason there is a case here is that a camera happened to be on.

What Disney Can and Cannot Do

No venue controls whether somebody walks through the gate and behaves like this. Not a theme park, not a stadium, not a mall.

What a venue absolutely controls is the next twenty minutes.

And by this account, that part worked. Security found him. Police showed up. An arrest happened the same night. Nobody handed her a form and told her to check back later, which is exactly how these usually die.

Castro credited them directly, thanking Disneyland’s security team in a follow-up post.

“As women, we always have to have our guard up, because you never know when men like this are around us,” she said.

Disney has not put out a statement.

If This Happens to You

Tell a cast member immediately. Do not walk away from the area.

Any cast member can get security, and security can find somebody in that park far better than you can on your own.

Be specific. What they were wearing, which direction they went, who they were with.

Keep your video or photos and do not edit them.

And ask for police. Anaheim PD came out and made an arrest the same evening in this case.

Where It Stands Right Now

Arrested on suspicion of sexual battery. Cited, released. Name withheld. No known prior incidents. No charges announced. No court date.

It is with investigators and prosecutors now, not the internet.

This article describes allegations. An arrest is not a conviction, and no charging decision has been announced. If you have experienced sexual assault, the RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline is available at 800-656-4673.
