After several states, including California, agreed to settle an antitrust case with Paramount<\/a>, a federal judge wants to learn more about the settlement. On California Politics 360, Ashley Zavala sat down with California Attorney General Rob Bonta<\/a> to learn about his decision and what Californians can expect moving forward. <\/p>\n

A new California law is in effect requiring all school districts<\/a> in the state to have policies in place either limiting or prohibiting the use of cellphones in school. <\/p>\n

The California Politics 360 team reached out to the superintendent offices of more than 400 districts statewide to learn about their cellphone use policy. We gave them two weeks to respond, but as of Friday evening, only 19 districts responded. Melanie Wingo takes a closer look at one school district\u2019s policy. Ashley Zavala talked with two of the authors behind the legislation, Republican Assembly Member Josh Hoover<\/a> and Democrat Assembly Member Al Muratsuchi<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Ahead of the general election in November, we are sitting down with candidates running for major statewide offices. This week, Zavala sits down with candidate for secretary of state, Shirley Weber<\/a>. <\/p>\n

California voters will decide on two propositions looking to limit certain taxes. Zavala explains what could change under Proposition 41<\/a> & Proposition 42<\/a> and how these proposals could invalidate the proposed billionaire tax if approved by voters.<\/p>\n
