SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 A man was shot Saturday morning as he drove on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n
The man drove himself to a hospital where he was treated for a leg wound, the CHP said.\u00a0 It was not known Sunday if he was still hospitalized.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened about 4:06 a.m. Saturday on the bridge on Interstate 80 east of Treasure Island, the CHP said in a news release.<\/p>\n
The man called 911 to report what had happened and that he was driving himself to a hospital, the CHP said.<\/p>\n
The man\u2019s age and residence have not been released.<\/p>\n
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.\u00a0 No information has been released about a suspect or the vehicle they were in.<\/p>\n
All eastbound lanes of the bridge\u00a0 were closed for about an hour during the initial investigation.\u00a0 An additional search for evidence was conducted just after 2 p.m. causing eastbound lanes to be closed for 30 minutes, the CHP said.<\/p>\n
