(KFSN) &#8212; A man is dead and a suspect is in custody following a shooting in the Tule River Reservation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Tulare County Sheriff&#8217;s Office says just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the reservation for a shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Tule River Tribal Police Department had urged residents to avoid North Reservation Road to Million Dollar Bridge for the shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Deputies say they then tracked down the suspect to a nearby home and took him into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Tribal Police have now clarified that the shooting was never an active shooting incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The victim&#8217;s identity has not been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Stay with Action News for more on this developing story.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
