Gas prices<\/a> have been putting a serious dent in our budgets,<\/a> especially in California,<\/a> where drivers are still paying the highest average price for regular gasoline in the country. Luckily, the Texas-born Buc-ee\u2019s is slowly making its way west, giving SoCal<\/a> drivers another reason to look forward to crossing the state line.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Its newest location is now the chain\u2019s westernmost outpost and the closest one yet to Los Angeles, making it a pretty tempting pit stop for your next road trip.<\/a><\/p>\n

This new Buc-ee\u2019s is a roadside stop with plenty to explore<\/p>\n

Buc-ee\u2019s officially opened its first Arizona<\/a> location, bringing the famously oversized travel center to Goodyear,<\/a>\u00a0at Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And \u201coversized\u201d is doing some serious work here, as the new Buc-ee\u2019s spans approximately 74,000 square feet, making the convenience store about 23% larger than a football field. Outside, there are 120 fueling pumps, designed for passenger vehicles rather than tractor-trailers, so you can fill up before continuing your journey through the Southwest.<\/p>\n

The brand new location stocks Buc-ee\u2019s signature Beaver Nuggets, beef jerky, homemade fudge, freshly baked pastries, drinks, and Texas-style barbecue,<\/a> including its famously smoked brisket. There\u2019s also plenty of Buc-ee\u2019s merchandise, plus the chain\u2019s famously spotless restrooms.<\/p>\n

The travel center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so that it can serve as a pit stop whether you\u2019re leaving L.A. before sunrise, making a late-night drive, or simply need an aggressively large snack selection somewhere along I-10. The project also brought more than 200 full-time jobs<\/a> to Goodyear, according to the city.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s still a fair drive from LA, and for now, there\u2019s no Buc-ee\u2019s actually in California,<\/a> this new outpost brings the Texas-born chain closer to the region than ever before.
