LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A $1 million reward was announced by the FBI in Los Angeles Monday for information leading to the capture and prosecution of a man wanted in connection with killings in Southern California and elsewhere as well as drug trafficking and other offenses. Satinderjeet Singh, who also goes by the name Goldy Brar and other aliases, is wanted on suspicion of conspiracy as part of an organized criminal organization, targeted killings, extortion and narcotics-related crimes, according to the FBI, which has Singh on its list of Ten Most Wanted fugitives.

The FBI announced the reward at a news conference Monday at its Los Angeles field office. “Singh is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group, which is allegedly engaged in a variety of violent acts in Southern California, and across the United States and Canada,” according to a statement from the FBI. “These alleged acts include assassinations of political and religious figures, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortions, assaults and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons.”

Based in the U.S., Singh is the Bishnoi Group’s North American boss, the FBI alleges. He has been charged in federal court in Los Angeles with violations that include racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations (RICO) conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere and attempted interference with commerce by extortion; and conspiracy to possess controlled substances with intent to distribute.

Patrick Grandy, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, called Singh “a dangerous individual” whose capture is a priority. “The amount of attention this list will bring to his face and description cannot be overstated; his photo will be found on every FBI- affiliated website and social media platform, and will be publicized on every phone around the world until he’s caught.”

Singh was indicted along with 36 other defendants, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced on July 7. The charges connect the defendants with three India-based trans- national organized crime groups. One of the allegations includes the assassination in Canada in 2023 of a prominent Indian political and religious figure.

“Goldy Brar and his network have wreaked devastating havoc on countless lives — through high-profile murders, shootings, death threats, extortion, arson and drug trafficking,” according to Lisa Moreland, the deputy commissioner of federal policing for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. “His addition to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list speaks to the collective resolve to capture him. The RCMP is committed to continue working with partners in the FBI to bring Goldy Brar to justice.”

The years-long investigation has been dubbed Operation Hard Ball and has resulted in 24 defendants being arrested if they were not already in custody. Four of the outstanding fugitives have been captured and one has been determined to be dead, according to the FBI. Satinderjeet Singh is one of five still outstanding. The others were identified as Major Singh, Sukhraj Singh Kang, a defendant known only as Kamal and Gurpreet Singh. One of three indictments charging Satinderjeet Singh centers on the Bishnoi Group, “for which Satinderjeep allegedly served as a lieutenant.”

The group is named for Lawrence Bishnoi, a 33-year-old from Punjab, India, who is currently imprisoned in India. The FBI described him as “a self-styled university student leader before tiring of politics and allegedly turning himself and his followers to crime.” The person allegedly assassinated in Canada was from Punjab state and was living in Canada when Bishnoi and Singh allegedly ordered his assassination, authorities said. The victim, identified in the indictment as H.S.N., was fatally shot as he left a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18, 2023. He was identified in news reports at Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was president of a Surry gurdwara, or house of worship, and was gunned down in his car after evening prayers at the Guru Nanak temple.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Nijjar was an activist with the Sikh independence group Sikhs for Justice and had received threats because of his support for a separate Sikh state in India called Khalistan. The CBC also reported in 2016 that the government of India sought Nijjar’s extradition on extremism-related charges.

Authorities also allege that the Bishnoi group stole more than 1,100 pounds of cocaine from rival gangs in the greater Los Angeles area between March 2024 and July 2025. Singh, who is known to live in California and Canada, should be considered extremely violent, armed and dangerous and should not be contacted.

Anyone with information concerning Singh was urged to call the FBI’s toll-free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), their local FBI office or the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Tips can be submitted online at tips.fbi.gov. The case against Singh is being investigated by the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

[27
7048,3557,7053,26,7065,7057,4300,7061,7060,7054,7052,7056,7055,7066,6217,48,7068,52,51,47,50,49,7063,7062,973,7069,100,7064,2083,611,1839,4201,6220,7070,7049,7050,7051,7059,7058,7067
post-478925","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-los-angeles","tag-7048","tag-am","tag-bill-handel","tag-breaking-news","tag-broadcasting","tag-conway","tag-eaton-fire","tag-gary-shannon","tag-gary-and-shannon","tag-gary-hoffmann","tag-handel","tag-john-ken","tag-john-and-ken","tag-john-kobylt","tag-kfi","tag-la","tag-la-fires","tag-la-headlines","tag-la-news","tag-los-angeles","tag-los-angeles-headlines","tag-los-angeles-news","tag-los-angeles-radio","tag-los-angeles-talk-radio","tag-media","tag-mo-kelly","tag-news","tag-newstalk","tag-oc","tag-orange-county","tag-palisades-fire","tag-radio","tag-radio-station","tag-santa-ana-winds","tag-stay-connected","tag-stimulating","tag-talk","tag-talk-radio","tag-tim-conway","tag-wild-fire
["GET
