The complex, named the View at Julian Apartments, will soon add three hundred units to the bustling neighborhood just west of <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/neighborhoods\/downtown-san-jose\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Downtown San Jose<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/jemcor-development-partners-llc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jemcor Development Partners<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/pacific-housing-inc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pacific Housing<\/a> are jointly responsible for the project.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11242\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/950-West-Julian-Street-design-by-KTGY-Architects.jpg\" alt=\"950 West Julian Street, design by KTGY Architects\" width=\"1500\" height=\"811\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">950 West Julian Street, design by KTGY Architects<\/p>\n<p>The eight-story structure will include 297 affordable units and three market-rate residences for on-site property managers. Most units will be deed-restricted for low-income households, with 15 units for very-low-income households and 15 units for moderate-income households. Parking will be included for around 85 cars and 75 bicycles. Roughly 7,700 square feet will be designated for the leasing and amenities space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/ktgy-architects\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">KTGY<\/a>\u00a0is responsible for the design. Illustrations from the Oakland-based firm show the gridded facade is separated into six volumes with subtle articulation along Julian Street. The first floor is wrapped with dark grey glass and stucco to establish a strong foundation. Future residents will live just a few blocks away from Diridon Station and SAP Center. The neighborhood surrounding Diridon Station has several leveled blocks that have remained undeveloped after Google paused the roughly 80-acre Downtown West master plan in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Construction kicked off in 2024 shortly after the joint venture secured a $107 million financing loan from the California Municipal Finance Authority.
