He not only met Xi and his wife when they flew into Joint Base Andrews, but he arranged an elaborate military review to impress the Chinese dictator.<\/p>\n<p>Funny how Trump charms our greatest adversary with such munificence while berating our closest ally, Canada, and its leader, Prime Minister Mark Carney, with both personal and diplomatic disdain. He called Canada \u201cone of the worst countries in the world to deal with\u201d and dissed Carney by calling him \u201cgovernor.\u201d And to add insult to injury, he renamed Lake Ontario \u201cLake America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps Trump is only trying to fulfill Jesus\u2019 command to \u201clove your enemies.\u201d But nowhere in the Gospels are we told to treat our friends with contempt. What kind of president kowtows to a Chinese dictator while demeaning our closest neighbor?
