A Florida woman accused of opening fire at the Los Angeles-area home of singer Rihanna was found mentally competent to stand trial.<\/p>\n

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, is charged with a count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, two counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and one count of shooting at an inhabited vehicle, as well as allegations that she personally and intentionally discharged a rifle.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Ortiz drove to the nine-time Grammy winner’s Beverly Crest residence March 8<\/a> and fired several rounds at the property. The shooting was reported at about 1:30 p.m. at the home that Rihanna shares with hip-hop star A$AP Rocky and the couple’s three children.<\/p>\n

Bullet holes were found on the exterior of the gate to the property, a wooden fence, an Airstream trailer, patio and exterior wall. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were in the Airstream parked in front of the residence at the time.<\/p>\n

They were not injured.<\/p>\n

Ortiz, the only person in the car, was arrested about three miles away during a traffic stop in the west San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks, police said.<\/p>\n

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were home with the three children, her mother and two staff people, accounting for the multiple assault counts.<\/p>\n

If convicted, Ortiz could face up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.<\/p>\n

At an earlier court proceeding, a judge ordered psychiatric evaluations<\/a> and temporarily transferred the case to a mental health court that specializes in determining whether defendants can understand the proceedings and go through a trial.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement records show Ortiz has a history with police in Florida. The Orange County, Florida Corrections Department confirmed Ortiz was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence battery in June 2023 and violation of domestic injunction three months later.<\/p>\n

In a Feb. 23 post on Ortiz’s Facebook page, Rihanna was mentioned and tagged.<\/p>\n
