It happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Anza Street and Arguello Boulevard, according to the San Francisco Police Department. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\">\n  <a class=\"article-subscribe-link\" href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/california\/san-francisco\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to the scene and found the injured pedestrian, prompting them to render aid, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Paramedics took the pedestrian to a nearby hospital for treatment, but they died from their injuries, police said. <\/p>\n<p>The driver of the car, who was not identified, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At this time, no arrests have been made. This remains an open and active investigation,&#8221; police said. &#8220;Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444.
