From the L.A. River<\/a> scene in Terminator<\/a> to the Victorian facades of Heritage Square Museum, L.A. features in Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,<\/a> the city has provided the backdrop for countless movies and TV shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Koreatown<\/a> has its own cinematic credentials, particularly at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, a Gothic Revival landmark that has appeared on the big screen in several well-known productions. And this October, the church will trade movie-set drama for a candlelit concert devoted to Halloween<\/a> favorites\u2026<\/p>\n

On October 23, Candlelight Koreatown: Halloween Classics will transform the sanctuary into a concert setting, with the Orchid Quartet performing a one-hour program by candlelight.<\/a><\/p>\n

The provisional program includes Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cThriller,\u201d the Stranger Things theme, Danny Elfman\u2019s Beetlejuice and The Addams Family themes, John Carpenter\u2019s Halloween, the Psycho prelude, Ghostbusters, and \u201cTubular Bells\u201d from The Exorcist. <\/p>\n

Classical selections include Saint-Sa\u00ebns\u2019 Danse Macabre and Mussorgsky\u2019s Night on Bald Mountain, plus \u201cTime Warp\u201d from The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a medley from The Nightmare Before Christmas.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCandlelight Koreatown: Halloween Classics\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

The performance lasts 60 minutes. Doors open 45 minutes before the show and close five minutes before the start time. Seating is first-come, first-served within each zone.<\/p>\n

Located at 3300 Wilshire Boulevard, Immanuel Presbyterian Church was completed in 1929 and designed by Los Angeles architect Chauncey F. Skilling in the French Gothic Revival style. The congregation dates to 1888, and the building became a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2003.<\/p>\n

Its signature feature is the 205-foot corner tower rising above Wilshire Boulevard. Inside, the sanctuary has vaulted ceilings, carved woodwork, stained glass and dramatic arches. The LA Conservancy notes that the stone-clad tower is supported by a steel frame.<\/p>\n

Its cinematic r\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/a> includes The Amazing Spider-Man, John Wick, Sister Act 2 and Legally Blonde 2.
