FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 A man was arrested after crashing his truck into another victim’s car multiple times on Friday night, police say.<\/p>\n
Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of North Chestnut Avenue and East Nees Avenue regarding a road rage incident.<\/p>\n
The victim told police officers that he was driving eastbound on Herndon Avenue from Millbrook Avenue when a truck next to him merged into his lane.<\/p>\n
The victim slowed down to avoid the accident.<\/p>\n
The suspect driver was identified as 53-year-old Lamar Ray Jr.<\/p>\n
The victim then sped up and was again side by side with Ray\u2019s vehicle when Ray made an abrupt left turn toward the victim\u2019s vehicle, striking the front passenger fender.<\/p>\n
The victim told officers he believed Ray was trying to push his vehicle into the center median.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim slowed down and followed Ray\u2019s vehicle from a distance until Ray stopped at a red light at East Herndon Avenue and North Maple Avenue while facing eastbound. <\/p>\n
The victim called 911 to report the incident, and while on the phone, noticed Ray\u2019s vehicle moving in reverse toward him.<\/p>\n
Ray\u2019s vehicle struck the front of the victim\u2019s front bumper and continued accelerating in reverse.<\/p>\n
The victim pressed on his brakes to prevent his vehicle from moving.<\/p>\n
Ray then rammed into the victim’s car repeatedly.<\/p>\n
Ray then drove eastbound on Herndon Avenue and turned northbound onto North Chestnut Avenue.<\/p>\n
Police said the AIR1 crew located Ray and directed marked patrol officers to it. <\/p>\n
Officers stopped Ray\u2019s truck at East Nees Avenue and North Chestnut Avenue.<\/p>\n
Ray was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges related to the investigation, including assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
