(KFSN) &#8212; A woman is dead after officers say she was hit by a suspected DUI driver in Fresno County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">It happened in the area of Central and Elm early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The California Highway Patrol found the woman&#8217;s body on the right shoulder just before 5 am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers believe the crash happened a couple of hours beforehand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Authorities were able to find the suspect at a home in Easton and took him into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The woman has not been identified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers are still investigating what exactly led up to the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">No road closures in the area of Central and Elm are in place.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
