<\/p>\n SANTA CLARA, Calif.\u00a0\u2013 Jackson Ozburn<\/a> made a penalty kick save and\u00a0Santa Clara men’s soccer played a man down for the majority of the game to\u00a0scrape\u00a0to a 1-all draw against San Francisco in a West Coast Conference match on Wednesday night at Stevens Stadium.\u00a0 Santa Clara played with 10 players after Moises Almontes<\/a> was issued a straight red card in the seventh minute as the Broncos withstood a 29-shot barrage from the Dons.\u00a0 The PK save by Ozburn was one of eight he turned back to set a career-high.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n HOW IT HAPPENED:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWith a man advantage, San Francisco\u00a0(4-4-3, 0-0-2\u00a0WCC) peppered the Santa Clara\u00a0(3-5-2, 0-0-2\u00a0WCC) defense with 12 shots in the first half and 17 more in the second half.\u00a0 Ten of the shots were on frame but the Bronco defense kept absorbing the pressure.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThe Dons got on the board in the 18th minute when they were\u00a0awarded with their first of two penalty kicks in the game.\u00a0 David Raphael converted the PK rolling it to the right as Ozburn went the other way, for his\u00a0WCC leading seventh goal of the season.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThe Broncos answered on a header by Bradley Roberson<\/a> in the 30th minute off assists from Will Wiersdorf<\/a> and Yu Yokokawa<\/a> for the freshman’s first career goal.\u00a0 The goal\u00a0also marked the first time the Broncos scored in the opening half this season.
\n\tSan Francisco generated a late first-half push with six shots and two corners after the equalizer, but the Broncos kept it 1-1 behind a team save and an Ozburn save in the 43rd minute.
\n\tThe game nearly turned in favor of USF when they were awarded a second penalty kick in the 69th minute.\u00a0 Raphael once again took the shot but this time, Ozburn\u00a0made a diving shot going to his right\u00a0to keep the game level at 1-all.
\n\tThe visitors continued to create chances late, with Ozburn adding saves on shots in the 75th, 77th, 80th, and 88th minutes. Jackson Blake<\/a> put the Broncos’ last shot on frame in the 87th minute, but Lucas Jones saved it, and the match finished 1-1.\u00a0

\n\tSanta Clara trails\u00a0the series 29-39-12.
\n\tRaphael and Brayden Beason each finished with game-high six shots.\u00a0 Three of them were on frame for Raphael while two were on target for Beason.\u00a0\u00a0
