Scott Wiener meet live onstage Thursday night at KQED for a critical debate, just days before ballots start arriving in the mail for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kqed.org\/voterguide\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">November election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocks-v1-Paragraph-__Paragraph__paragraph wp-block wp-block-paragraph container\">The two Democrats, both steeped in San Francisco politics, are running for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kqed.org\/voterguide\/sanfrancisco\/congress-11th-district\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the House seat<\/a> held for nearly four decades by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi \u2014 marking the first time in years that the race has been truly competitive. The winner will be a voice for San Francisco in Washington on issues such as foreign policy, taxation and federal regulation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blocks-v1-Paragraph-__Paragraph__paragraph wp-block wp-block-paragraph container\">Co-hosted by KQED\u2019s Scott Shafer and Marisa Lagos and The San Francisco Chronicle\u2019s Joe Garofoli, the debate is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the <a to=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=igBVJ_1dIdY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=igBVJ_1dIdY\">KQED Live YouTube page<\/a>.
