{"id":48268,"date":"2025-11-11T16:20:36","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T16:20:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/48268\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T16:20:36","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T16:20:36","slug":"montebello-police-officers-fire-shots-at-driver-after-pursuit-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/48268\/","title":{"rendered":"Montebello police officers fire shots at driver after pursuit \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Montebello Police Department is searching for a person who they say tried to run over two officers during a pursuit.<\/p>\n<p>Police say an officer was in pursuit of a reckless driver when the chase continued into Pico Rivera.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A witness told police they saw the suspected driver\u2019s car parked at the end of the street. <\/p>\n<p>Officers spotted and approached the car when they said the driver accelerated toward them.\u00a0The incident happened early Tuesday near Paramount Boulevard and Telegraph Road. <\/p>\n<p>Officers then shot at the car, but it was unclear if the driver was struck. The suspected driver fled the scene.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports from the scene, as many as 15 shots were fired by the officers. <\/p>\n<p>No officers were injured in the incident.
