A Del Rey man could face petty theft charges after surveillance cameras caught a pomegranate theft from a Fresno County orchard.<\/p>\n

The Fresno County Sheriff\u2019s Office says deputies received a report on Sept. 28 of fruit being stolen from an orchard near Lincoln and McCall avenues in Del Rey.<\/p>\n

Investigators say cameras mounted on a mobile solar surveillance trailer recorded a man taking pomegranates from trees and filling several bags.<\/p>\n

Agricultural Crimes Task Force detectives identified the suspect as 52-year-old Leopoldo Leon Zaragoza, who authorities say lives less than a mile from the orchard.<\/p>\n

Detectives submitted petty theft charges to the Fresno County District Attorney\u2019s Office, which is reviewing the case.<\/p>\n
