JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 The last remaining Hooters restaurant in Jacksonville has permanently closed.<\/p>\n

The lone location on San Jose Boulevard at Baymeadows Road posted a sign on the doors of the shuttered building that read, \u201cUnfortunately we have closed permanently.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though the exact date of closure is unknown, an orange Public Health and Safety notice also posted on the building was dated Sept. 29.<\/p>\n

As of Friday, the location was still listed on the company\u2019s website<\/a>. <\/p>\n

On Sept. 24, the location posted on Instagram<\/a> about a new menu item, but it\u2019s unclear why it abruptly shut down.<\/p>\n

The franchise filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025 to focus on restructuring the company, which included closing several locations across Florida and other states.<\/p>\n
