Fried Oreos have long been a fair favorite, but at the Kern County Fair this week, one vendor is offering a twist: fried brownies.<\/p>\n
Sweets by J is featuring two new items for the final weekend of the fair, including what owner Erica Quintero described as the \u201cDubai straw brownie,\u201d made with \u201cDubai chocolate,\u201d pistachio cream, fresh strawberries and brownies mixed together.<\/p>\n

The second new item is a fried brownie, which Quintero said came from the idea of taking a familiar fair treat and switching it up.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had brownies, and I\u2019m like, you know what? I love a fried Oreo. So why don\u2019t we fry a brownie?\u201d she said. \u201cSo we messed it around, and fried it up, and all this was so good.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beyond the new items, Erica said some of the stand\u2019s fan favorites include mini pancakes, fresas con crema, a gansito frappe, and the bubble waffle cone and waffle on a stick.<\/p>\n
