The San Jose Fire Department&#8217;s Arson Unit has been asked to investigate.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7news.com\/post\/truck-crash-sparks-fire-calibunga-water-park-san-joses-lake-cunningham-regional\/19905854\/?ref=sfist.com\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ABC7 reports<\/a>, the fire was first reported around 4:45pm. <\/p>\n<p>San Jose firefighters classified the blaze as a tier one vegetation fire. They further stated that the resulting flames torched an adjacent water slide as well as a shed containing chemicals before it was eventually contained. <\/p>\n<p>Formerly known as Raging Waters, San Jose&#8217;s CaliBunga Water Park was already temporarily closed when the crash occurred \u2014 a fortunate circumstance resulting from ongoing redesigns to Lake Cunningham Regional Park.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities state that pickup truck crashed into a fence along the northwest corner of the park, creating a fire that quickly spread.
