A group of armed cops stormed a movie theater in San Jose<\/a> Saturday night, leaving the patrons stunned.<\/p>\n

The terrifying moment was captured by a moviegoer on a video as San Jose Police Department<\/a> officials pointed a gun with a tactical light toward the audience.<\/p>\n

Police were responding to reports of a man carrying a firearm inside AMC Saratoga 14 in West San Jose around 8 p.m. on Oct 3. The movie stopped halfway and the house lights went on when police entered theater No. 13.<\/p>\n

San Jose Police officers entered an AMC movie theater to question attendees in West San Jose on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Officers were responding to a report of a man with a gun inside the theater at the AMC Saratoga 14.<\/p>\n

One officer can be heard on the video directing the audience to raise their hands. \u201cSorry to interrupt. Put your hands up real quick, both hands. Stand up,\u201d the officer said.<\/p>\n

According to the cops, the suspect had long red hair and was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts. The officer then says, \u201cSorry for the inconvenience. Walk towards us over here. Keep your hands up.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is likely that the officer was addressing the suspect and directing him to walk toward the police officers for questioning.<\/p>\n

Audience members were confused and kept saying, \u201cWhat,\u201d as a perplexed reaction to the officer\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n

Lauren, who was inside the theater when cops barged in, said the theater was full with people when cops came in. \u201cIt was scary to see a gun that big right in front of me,\u201d she told NBC Bay Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were six cops. One of them was pointing a huge gun at the back of the room and they told the guy in the back right to stand up and put his hands above his head,\u201d Lauren added.<\/p>\n

The movie stopped halfway around 8 p.m. on Oct 3 and the lights went on when police entered the theater No. 13.<\/p>\n

Aditya Gupta, another moviegoer who watched the whole incident unfold inside the theater<\/a>, said he was stunned to see the cops.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girl who was sitting on my right, she ducked, and I realized after the fact that I should\u2019ve done the same. I don\u2019t think it registered to me that there was a real officer with a real assault rifle-looking thing,\u201d he told the news outlet. <\/p>\n

Both Lauren and Gupta left the theater, fearing a shootout might break out.<\/p>\n

Officers located a individual inside the theater matching the description of the subject reported to have a firearm. However, they did not find any firearm on the suspect or in the nearby vicinity, KRON 4 reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
